Case Study: The Winne Haus
An integrated website solution for a hill country haven in horseshoe bay
The Lowdown:
Booking Solution Bonanza: Man, we dug deep into the tech rabbit hole and found Lodgify – it’s like the Cadillac of booking systems. Jon’s now got a setup that’s more solid than Grandma’s meatloaf.
Tech Sherpa: We didn’t just throw Jon a bone. We prepped everything, ironed out the kinks, and gave Jon the lowdown on how to wrangle this tech beast. Now, he’s running it like a boss.
Cutting the Middleman: Built a slick website that makes you wanna pack your bags. Direct bookings are skyrocketing, and Jon’s giving Airbnb and VRBO the ol’ “see ya later” while pocketing more cash.
Streamlined Like a Dream: Lodgify’s got Jon covered from booking to vendor chats. It’s like having a Swiss Army knife for his rental biz – everything he needs, all in one place.
Future-Proofed: With solid support and Jon now a whiz on the platform, he's ready to handle whatever comes his way. Bookings are up, headaches are down, and Jon’s living the dream.
The Background:
So Jon rolls up to us needing a hand with his swanky new vacation rental in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. Even though folks were raving about the place on Airbnb and VRBO, Jon wanted more bookings and was sick of those hefty platform fees. After a good ol’ chinwag, we figured out he needed a custom website to show off the property, its natural and resort surroundings–the whole vacation experience. This way, he could tell Airbnb and VRBO to climb a tree.
The Process:
We kicked things off with a hands-on stay at The Winnie Haus. We soaked in the vibes, from the chic Hill Country design to the stunning local scenery. We drew inspiration from the house’s contemporary flair—like that bold lemon-lime green front door—and the natural palette of Horseshoe Bay. Think bluebonnets, light grey limestone, and crisp white interiors. Our mission was to create a drool-worthy and user-friendly website that flaunted the luxe amenities and one-of-a-kind experiences The Winnie Haus has to offer.
The Challenges:
Getting the site’s sleek aesthetics to play nice with Lodgify’s booking system was a bit of a juggle. As for the name game, we landed on “The Winnie Haus,” a nod to Jon’s mom and their German roots.
The Highlights:
The final website? A stunner with bluebonnet graphics, a longhorn steer, and crisp property snaps, including one of a deer just chilling out nearby. The Lodgify integration made bookings, comms, and vendor management a breeze, streamlining Jon’s whole operation.
The Demands:
We had to build a site that stood out and nailed the essence of The Winnie Haus and its locale. The goal was to make potential guests hit that “book now” button faster than a jackrabbit on a date. We needed to boost bookings and margins while cutting loose from Airbnb and VRBO. We leveraged a freebie template from Lodgify, giving Jon a double-whammy solution. The result? Direct bookings are on the up and up, fees are down, and Jon’s got more jingle in his pocket.
